The story of Pescăruș Restaurant begins in 1939 and is written every day by the guests who visit us. Since 2015 the restaurant is under the umbrella of City Grill.

Pescăruş Restaurant is the first restaurant in Herăstrău Park. Designed in 1938 by two famous architects, Horia Creangă, the nephew of the writer Ion Creangă, and Haralamb Georgescu, the restaurant has been welcoming the people of Bucharest in good times and hard times, witnessing many political changes, but being also the place where celebrities from Romania and around the world have enjoyed a good meal. We have had remarkable guests, such as the King of Spain - Juan Carlos, the former president of Israel - Shimon Peres or Anatoly Karpov - the great chess master.

The first guests visited us in 1939 and, since then, many people have crossed the threshold of Pescăruş Restaurant.

Since 2015, it has been part of City Grill, together with City Grill restaurants, Trattoria Buongiorno, Hanu Berarilor Interbelic, Caru' cu bere and Hanu' lui Manuc. The restaurant has been completely redecorated, now having a modern air of luxury trattoria on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. The restaurant accommodates 400 seats indoors and 600 seats in the summer garden.

The building is on the list of historical monuments in Bucharest.

The restaurant is perfect for events and a great place for outdoor weddings organized in Bucharest.

The menu has changed over time according to times and trends, and now we have a fish-based menu, being one of the few restaurants in Bucharest where fresh fish dishes are cooked every day.
